Connect Kepler to ChatGPT

Add Kepler to ChatGPT from its plugin listing, authorise your account, then ask about the Spaces, links and notes you saved by mentioning @Kepler.

Updated

Once Kepler is connected, ChatGPT can search your Spaces and answer from the links and notes you saved in them. Kepler connects through MCP, the Model Context Protocol AI apps use to connect to other apps.

  1. Open Kepler’s listing. Go to Kepler in ChatGPT’s plugin directory, or choose Plugins in ChatGPT’s sidebar and search for Kepler. Select Install plugin.

  2. Authorise Kepler. If ChatGPT asks, select Connect, then sign in to your Kepler account and approve the connection.

  3. Mention @Kepler. In a chat, type @Kepler and choose it from the list, or select + and choose Kepler there. Then ask your question, for example: “@Kepler plan five days in China from the reels, articles, and videos I saved in my China trip space.”

ChatGPT may ask you to approve before Kepler reads your Spaces or saves a link. Kepler then searches your Spaces, and ChatGPT answers with the saves it found and their links.

What you’ll see: Your AI searches your Space through Kepler, lists the saves it found, then answers from them.

Choose a Space

Kepler searches one Space at a time. Name the Space in your question, as above, when you know where the answer is. If you don’t, ChatGPT can look through your Spaces and may ask which one you mean.

Ask follow-ups

ChatGPT uses Kepler for the message where you mention it. Mention @Kepler again when a follow-up needs something new from your Spaces, and reply as normal to talk about what it already found.

You can also ask it to keep something. Paste a link and ask “@Kepler save this to my China trip space”. A saved link is the one thing ChatGPT can add to Kepler.

What ChatGPT can reach

ChatGPT can search the Spaces you can open, including Spaces shared with you.

Questions you ask through ChatGPT don’t count towards Kepler’s AI queries, on any plan. They’re part of your ChatGPT use, so ChatGPT’s own limits apply.

If Kepler doesn’t show up

  • Look under Plugins in the sidebar, or open Settings, then Plugins. A very old version of the iPhone or Android app may say Apps instead.
  • Check you’re in the right ChatGPT account or workspace. What you can add depends on your plan, region and workspace.
  • In a work workspace, Disabled by admin or Admin approval required means an admin has to allow Kepler first. Ask them to review it.
  • If Kepler is connected but ChatGPT doesn’t use it, start a new chat and ask for something specific, such as “@Kepler list my Spaces”. If that still fails, don’t keep reconnecting. Check OpenAI’s status page and contact OpenAI Support.
